Only a few hundred meters from Old Town Pszczyna we can meet ... European bison. Visiting the Bison Center provides such a possibility. The Bison Center was established in the historic park, in the part called “Zwierzyniec”. Two pens with the necessary infrastructure, including among others: the feeding racks, the quarantine enclosure and the feed stores, were built in an area of approximately 10 hectares. Animals can be seen from a viewing platform, on which disabled people can enter using the lift.

In the Bison Center, we may become acquainted not only with the habits of European bison, the largest mammal in Europe,  but we canalso learn other animals that live in the south of Poland, i.e. mouflons, deer, does, fallow deer, as well as the rest of inhabitants of the Center, i.e. mallards, ruddy shelducks, black geese, swan geese, swans and Indian peafowls. In the Bison Center there is the educational museum facility in which nature-themed classes may be organized.
